This three-day / two-night adventure camp gives children the chance the get outdoors and have a brilliant few days away in the magnificent woodland and grass areas at Mowden Hall.
It offers all the classic camp games like Kick the Can and Capture the Flag as well as a number of fun ball-sport based games and wide games (large team games).
The team challenge on Day 2 always proves popular as groups use their skill, speed and cunning to complete a number of tasks, culminating in a race-against-time Treasure Hunt.
The camp doesn't always go at a million miles per hour and there is plenty of downtime, especially in the evening with a BBQ, a few comedy sketches and some classic camp songs around the fire.
So whether it's diving out the way of dodgeballs, building a top-notch wooden shelter, solving a team initiative challenge or toasting marshmallows over a warm camp-fire, this adventure camp has something your child will love.
ACCOMMODATION on this adventure camp is excellent. There's a really good balance between children pitching their own tents to sleep in and having facilities such as showers, toilets and changing areas (in the Mowden pavilion). Children will sleep in pairs or in threes with separate tent areas for boys and girls. Children get time to shower in the morning and evening and we clean the toilets every day. There will be a male and female instructor on duty each night.
CAMP FOOD is so important on this action-packed adventure camp and therefore all the meals are nutritious and delicious. At breakfast we provide toast, bacon, cereals and fresh fruit. At lunch we offer sandwiches or wraps with plenty of fillings to choose from. The evening meal will either be a BBQ or food cooked over the camp fire. We provide snacks during the day and fresh fruit is always on offer. Please let us know of any dietary requirements on the sign up form!
SAFETY on camp is extremely important to us. Therefore all our activities are fully risk assessed and delivered by qualified instructors. We have comprehensive first aid kits and the camp leader is first aid trained. Our ratio of 1 instructor to every 6 children ensures that staff are always available and we have a male and female instructor on duty every night. We also have comprehensive insurance and meet all government safety standards.
